The much revered Icon of Our Lady of Częstochowa (The Black Madonna) has been credited with numerous miracles and healings – both of a spiritual and physical nature. Now, after traveling 40,000 miles from Vladivostok in Russia through 24 countries in Europe, she is in North America and will be visiting Ottawa on her global pilgrimage in the defence of life and family.

Celebrated by Archbishop Terrence Prendergast and concelebrated by Father Peter West, custodian of the Icon.
Rosary and confessions from 6:30 pm.

Overnight Vigil at St. Patrick's Basilica.
Wednesday, March 19
Feast of St. Joseph, Patron Saint of Canada6:15 am to 7:00 am- Centennial Flame on Parliament Hill. Conclusion of the annual St. Joseph Novena (starting March 10 daily at 6:15 am).
7:15 am to 8:30 am- Prayer Vigil across the street from Ottawa's abortion facility at 65 Bank St.
10:00 am to 1:00 pm- Notre Dame Cathedral
385 Sussex Dr. The program for the Cathedral will include the Veneration of the Black Madonna Icon.
12:15 pm - Mass in honour of St. Joseph.
2:00 pm to 4:00 pm- St. Patrick's Basilica,
220 Kent St. Veneration and Holy Hour including Chaplet of Divine Mercy.
5:30 pm to 9:00 pm- St. Hyacinth Parish,
201 LeBreton St. Veneration of the Black Madonna Icon, and Rosary at 6:30 pm.
7:00 pm- Mass followed by Marian Prayers.
